PUNTO was co-founded by Debora Balardini, Duke York and Sandie Luna with the belief that artists and performers deserve a creative home to explore and develop meaningful work. The three developed a mission-based for-profit business model that enables them to make space, and keep space, for art and creative expression on a weekly and hourly basis. PUNTO has successfully developed and launched #PUNTOGivesBack and #PUNTOInspires initiatives as a means to grow art that enhances our quality of life and inspires new experiences.
PUNTO’s departure from the black-box theater to a clean, white aesthetic signify a contemporary performance movement that embraces new talent, fresh perspective and bright creative minds ready to be nurtured. With three levels, four studios and a host of artist friendly amenities, PUNTO easily transforms for rehearsals, film+television production, exhibitions, project development, performances, workshops, staged readings and arts happenings.

A resident theater company at PUNTO
The Nettles Artists Collective (NAC), co-founded by Debora Balardini and Sandie Luna, is currently the resident theater company at PUNTO. NAC, which just celebrated its ten year anniversary, is a Latina-run, New York City artists collective composed of writers, mixed media artists, performing arts professionals, musicians and filmmakers. NAC seeks to imbue the American art scene with globally diverse and multidisciplinary collaborations by providing a platform for the performing and visual arts.
NAC celebrates differences. The approach of NAC to creating and producing is transparent, permeable and ever-changing. NAC is influenced by creative values that embrace collective autonomy, physical theater, English prime and improv. Most recently, NAC received accolades for the multimedia theater production Apple of My Eye. NAC members currently have several solo and collaborative works in development.
